HIS SERVANTS – PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY

We strive to live by the Golden Rule.

“Therefore whatever you want others to do for you, do so for them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”  Matthew 7:12

The purpose of His Servants is to get to know, serve and build the Kingdom of God by:

  • Being an organization that will be used solely as a facility for ministry.

  • Believing that motives are more important than actions and that the end does not justify the means.

  • Emphasizing the Holy Spirit’s leading, rather than methods or programs.  In other words, form follows function.

  • Discipling.  Helping people grow and mature is God’s idea, thus we want to assist in whatever God is seeking to do in each person’s life.

We strive to serve the individual and help them relate to Jesus as Lord of their lives by:

  • Communicating a long-term interest in each individual’s life and not sacrificing people for the ministry or project.

  • Affirming that everyone has great value and a place in the body of Christ.

  •   Encouraging every person to relate directly with the Lord, developing a dependent walk with the Father through His Son Jesus – Our Lord, Guide and All-Sufficient One.

  •   Strengthening those that are weak, building on the qualities that are already strong, complimenting more than criticizing.  Our purpose is not to change anyone’s personality, but to encourage them into Christ-likeness.

  •   Striving to help people develop strengths and spiritual gifts and find their places of service in the body of Christ.

  •   Assisting believers to develop their convictions and learn how to think for themselves.

We are presently focusing on the prevention of root issues by the publishing and promotion of:

  • An Ounce of Prevention – Preventing the Homosexual Condition in Today’s Youth.  An easy reading book designed to give understanding, compassion, Biblical truth and a challenge to the community of Faith.

  • What’s A Father To Do? – Facing Parents’ Toughest Issues-a small booklet for both genders, but specifically a practical help and challenge for fathers in raising their children.

  •   Celebrating God’s Design - a 12-session curriculum series that takes a balanced and Biblical look at important youth issues including gender confusion, tolerance and challenging family dynamics.

  •   Various relevant books and material that help families face cultural challenges and issues.

We partner with various other ministries and movements that strengthen the family and confront cultural issues.
